Hoi Linh Pagoda is located on Cach Mang Thang 8, Bui Huu Nghia Street, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City. The venerable monk is Thich Thien Phap. The pagoda was established on the full moon of the second lunar month, the year of Dinh Mui (1907, year of the goat). Initially, the pagoda was simply stored in bamboo leaves, located at a small canal, so it was called Xao Can pagoda. In 1914, the pagoda was rebuilt with solid materials and was renamed Hoi Linh Tu .. Over nearly a century with ups and downs of history, the pagoda has been renovated and restored many times and is called the Ancient Spirit Society. Hoi Linh Ancient Pagoda is an architectural work with values ​​of elaborate sculpture art with many old and unique statues. The pagoda has contributed to the two resistance wars, the secret base of the anti-French forces since 1941, and then the resistance against the American imperialism.

The pagoda has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a historical - cultural relic, a religious establishment that has been crowded with Buddhist people to study and worship, which is always open to welcome people. Every year, the pagoda regularly supports social work, charity activities, helping poor people, difficult families or natural disasters patients in and outside the city.
